Conditions for Entering the Online Dance Competition
1. Each section of the competition will be judged by experienced judges.
2. Entry Fee: To promote this exciting online dance competition, we are offering free entry until February 1, 2025. After this date, the entry fee will be £20 per dance for each section.
3. Prizes: For each section, the prize for first place is £100. Judging will be based on the following criteria: 70% for music interpretation and 30% for the best interpretation of the dance section.
4. The judges’ decisions are final.
5. Prize money will be transferred directly to the winners' bank accounts or PayPal accounts.
6. Each video submission will be assigned a unique number.
7. The competition features six categories: Foxtrot, Rumba, Salsa, Argentine Tango, Hip-hop, and West Coast Swing.
8. Couples participating in the competition may be either heterosexual or same-sex.
9. Only one video submission is permitted per section.
10. Music: Participants may choose any music they prefer, provided there are no copyright restrictions in their country.
11. For the Rumba category, timing must adhere to the International Rumba timing of 2, 3, 4, and hold on the 1 count.
12. Videos must not exceed 90 seconds in length. Any videos longer than this will be disqualified.
13. The competition aims to promote dancing in rhythm with the music, emphasizing musicality and timing.
14. This is an online dance competition only.
15. To enter the competition, participants can enjoy free entry until February 1, 2025. After this date, the entry fee will be £20 via PayPal.
16. All performances will be scored using our established scoring system.
17. Ensure you are entering the correct section, as once the schedule is finalized, changes cannot be made.
18. Each performance will be judged by experienced judges in that section, and their decisions are final.
19. Judging the competition will take up to four weeks after the closing date to finalize results.
20. The closing date for entries will be announced at a later time.
21. Participants may enter the competition alongside their teacher.
22. As this is an online competition, judges will review each video submission.
23. Being a worldwide competition, we will strive to include judges from various countries.
24. We are currently looking for judges for each section. If you possess the necessary experience and qualifications, please email us with details about your background and expertise in the relevant field, as well as your preferred fee for each video. We welcome applications from judges around the world. Please note that if you are judging, you are not permitted to enter the competition.
